Residential Lockbox
Thank you for your interest in our Lock box program. We do not currently have any lockboxes available for purchase. We are currently waiting for our next shipment of Lock boxes and do not have an expected restock date yet but will update this information as we receive it. Please be advised the shipping has been delayed in the past, taking up to 6 months before.
Advantages of Owning a Lockbox
- Can provide first responders with quick entry during medical emergencies.
- Provides an alternative to forced entry. If a lockbox is used, responders may not have to damage the resident’s home.
- Resecuring a property is simple and fast.
- One-time purchase that requires no monthly monitoring fees.
- Lockboxes are only accessible by authorized personnel in the event of an emergency. (Please note: Friends, family, and neighbors cannot use this system to access a home)
- Emergency responders only open lock boxes if a resident cannot open the door themselves.
How the Program Works
The steps for a resident to participate are:
- Purchase a Kidde S5 Key Safe or Knox HomeBox 1500 (see below)
- Install wall mount lockbox in an easily accessible and highly visible location near the entry door, security door, etc.…(Golder Ranch Fire District does not mount the box). If you cannot install it yourself, please consider a handy service.
- After lockbox is installed on home, call 520-825-9001 ext. 2102 to make an appointment to have a Community Resource Technician come place your key(s) in your box and lock it up for you.
