The Fire and Life Safety Division (FLS) is a dynamic division within the fire district providing a number of community related services. The Division is supervised by the Fire Marshal who directs the division’s activities utilizing Deputy Marshals, Fire Inspectors, Fire Investigators, and administrative staff. All members of the FLS Division maintain a number of certifications and memberships in professional organizations affiliated with fire and life safety. The FLS Division is responsible for the development and administration of the adopted fire code and fire code standards, construction plan reviews, public education, fire prevention through fire safety inspections, wildfire mitigation and conducting fire investigations. The Fire Marshal serves as the Town of Oro Valley Fire Marshal through an IGA.
